Hunted with a .54 Renegade back in 1974 when Pa. first instituted the flintlock season. After a few years I left state and sold the Renegade (stupid me as I eventually came back to Pa)
Well, I borrowed a co-workers Hawken to hunt the early season and fell in love with Black Powder, again.
Last night I went to Grice Gun shop and was looking for a TC Firestorm and what did they have on the used rack but a .54 Renegade. It was a tough choice, but I went with the Firestorm, and other than a crappy trigger pull (I will fix that) and a lousy recoil pad to stock fit, I am happy.
This forum had a lot to do with my decision to return to the fold, so thanks to everyone who takes the time to post!
