Hornady Powder Cop????

I have a question regarding Hornadys Powder Cop used in a Hornady Lock N Load AP Progressive Press.  Well in short, Is it needed? With it being a Auto indexing Progressive Press, You really can't throw a double charge, can you? I'm just wondering. I have used the Press for about a year now and don't really see a need for it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks....Steve

I have the LnL and a Powder cop in slot 3-I like it there although I still have a bright penlight type light over the seating die to visually check each round prior to seating bullet. The Powder Cop is a nicety-kind of soothing to see the shaft rise as it encounters the powder. 
Once you get used to it, it is easy to know over/undercharges - you will not pick up a couple of grains difference but a double charge or empty case is a no brainer to catch.

Worth it?  Probably.
Cheaper than a Kaboom-you betcha'.
Easier than driving out a squib - if you catch it- sure thing.
can you do without? yup- just be sure you are vigilant.
