Comcast Internet speed increase today

My Internet was down a short time this morning (actually while I was browsing here) as Comcast went from
10 to 16 mbps
To
22 to 30 mbps

It is now like these GBO post an screen changes jump out and slap me in the face!...I don't really know how we compare to other providers. Perhaps we should have had this a long time ago?

Only thing is they haven't upped the bandwidth caps (which are still 250GB per month).

To put in in perspective, if you actually used your full 30Mbps you would use up your maximum monthly bandwidth on Comcast in less than 19 hours. 

ISP's need to learn that giving us more speed while at the same time putting in monthly caps that actually prevent us from truly USING that speed is simply a half-measure.

With the rise of streaming video, online movie purchases, and episodic new-media content (podcasts and the like), they're going to have to start rethinking their cap mentality.

I'm not on Comcast but rather Cable One which so far as I know has no association with Comcast but at about the same time I too noticed what seems a major speed up in the time it takes pages to load, at least some times. Most especially after I make a post the new page seems to come up instantly with no lag which there has been previously. I dunno if I should give Cable One the credit or if Matt did something on the server to take off some deadwood or something. I've not asked him.
