First time to the range with this .500 S&W Handi rifle and the results were disappointing. Not the fault of my handloads or the rifle, but the Ironsighter scope mount kept shooting loose from the barrel. I have some Locktite, but I'm hesitant to use it on this Ironsighter scope mount. If I use the Locktite and one or two of the scope mount screws come loose I'll have a heck of a time getting the others out, so I ordered a new DedNutz scope mount from Game Reaper. I should have done this to begin with and saved some trouble. I think I fired about 8 rounds and from the bench and as expected it is a hammer on both ends of the rifle.
Once the new scope mount comes in I'll give it another try at the range.
