.357 Barrel Availability
« on: January 05, 2010, 07:37:21 AM »
I sent off a frame a few days ago to Ilion for another .357 barrel and was told they were in stock. I asked the guy to check again and I got the same answer.  Guess it might have been my lucky day. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed) So if you have been thinking about getting one, it might be a good time to send in your stuff.

Of course, I don't know why any ethical hunter would want a .357...it won't kill a deer. ;)

Believe it or not, I bought my last Handi (a .357) with pocket change that I dumped into a jar when I got home from work everyday.  It took a few months, but it was like a free gun.  I did the same with this additional barrel.

Maybe I should take that approach on the 45-70 I want.

I am a volunteer firefighter and we get paid $15 to work bingo on Friday nights.  My last three rifles were "bingo rifles".  What makes it really work out is my local gun shop has a one year layaway with 10% down, pay on it whenever.

My last three rifles

A NEF Handi Survivor 357 - It is a 1996 model that was new in the box
A sporterized M1917 Enfield
A NEF 17M2

Anyways you will have tons of fun with that 357 barrel.
