CVA Optima Elite 45.70

Anyone having misfires with the 45.70?

Nope-none... CCI primers and Lee hand primer.  Fired the 45-70 "Special" last Sunday for the first time and using my loads had 20 accurate rounds fire with no problems.  What happened to you and your rifle?

Shooting factory loads Remington Three fires the rest misfire the firing pin hit each primer. Bought the gun last year and used Hornady three fires one misfire. Thought last year was a fluke since the Gun was right out of the box and that was the first round.

Wish I knew where to find  a 45-70 barrel around here. They're scarce around here... :'(

sounds like bad ammo but first i'd call CVA and run it by them and see what they think. If they think something is wrong with the optima elite they will have you send it in for repair/replacement.

Hornady Brass and CCI primers, I have fired over 400 rds with no problems
