Mini Dahlgren gun
« on: January 13, 2010, 01:31:44 PM »
Ok during my construction of my micro bombard A handle that looked alot like a Dahlgren gun was noticed in my junk drawer.

Look in the lower left

Well I had to do something about that.

.250 inch bore, 4 inches overall length. Sorry I had to use the lathe and mill for this one.
Smoke and fire tomarrow.

We like it a lot.  That's the Dahlgren 'soda-bottle' shape, alright.  Nice execution of the Marsilly carriage too.  We are extremely jealous of your 'time-on-task' numbers.  We have so many partially finished projects around here.  I hope it's not too presumptuous to ask this, Andy, but, do you have any free time for the next week or so?   ;D ;D

Great job!

I think you could use a little more powder for your next shot.
