optima elite 270 bored to marlin 444

I just love my 444 marlin lever rifle and I wondering if a optimal eleite .270 barrel could be bored to a marlin 444. I really like my elite but I love the 444 round as it is awesome on whitetails. If it is possilble is it feasible to do.? Any one know about what it would cost? Thanks sassymassy

Looks to me like it could be done, site sponsor Oregunsmithing has done several rebores for me, it'll cost about $300, all he needs is the barrel, his website is in the sponsor list in LINKS above.
