Glock 36 How did that happen?
« on: December 21, 2009, 07:47:27 AM »
Was out shooting my 36 today,(no problems as usual), came home, took gun apart to clean. Went to reassemble and the 2 little tabs that you hold down to remove slide are gone. I dont know how or when but they had to been there when I stripped gun to clean, right?? It looks like the little spring is gone too. I never had a problem with it in over 4 years. Anyone else have similar problem, any thoughts are appreciated.  Merry Christmas! ???

The slide lock traps the spring holding it in place under spring pressure. Likely came out during disassembly.  Otherwise the slide would fly off the front of the frame when the slide went back into battery upon firing.  Good news is: I have never heard of that happening, and---replacement parts are cheap!!  Merry Christmas to you as well! lol

A friend had the same thing happen on his Glock 22 late last year.  He ordered the part online and he had it fixed in no time......Mike
