CC Radio SW
« on: January 05, 2009, 02:08:46 AM »
I have been using a Grundig Yacht boy 400 for many years now, but I picked up a CC Radio SW and I have to say that I am very pleased with it.  I have been using it for about 4 months now.  I am still on my original set of 4 D batteries.  I listen to it mainly on weekends, usually on sundays I am listening to football on am or fm, or an outdoors program.  It has great am/fm reception.  On SW I listen mainly to WWCR or the BBC both come in good at night.

I am thinking of picking up the current Sony 7600 since they are the last ones still made in Japan.  the Eton X1 would be nice but I cant see spending that much money on another radio.

Bought one for myself for christmas. My most recent SW was a little Grundig Traveler. Big improvement, having the scan feature.   Gonna clip a wire on the antenna and see how much difference it makes, not sure what length to use. Live on 5 acres, so I could go long- any suggestions?
