34 Grain bullet instead of 35 grain, ok?
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:06:39 PM »
Hey guys i got an awsome deal on some 34 grain bullets for my 218 bee, the only thing is, is that i can only find a powder mix for 35 grain. can i use the same mix as 35 for the 34? Or mayby just take a "bit" out of the 35 grain mix. Or mayby someone has a good combo for this .... ihave the folowing:
   1. IMR 4198, and hodgdon Lil Gun for powder
   2. 34 grain bullets

Any good loads for my 218 bee with these products.........

As long as the bullets are of similar construction (i.e., both cast or both jacketed) you can use the same load for both.  One grain difference in bullet weight is inconsequential.

About the only time it would make a difference is if you were using say a Barnes bullet with standard jacketed data , thats due to the type of metal used and the amount of drag , the Barnes would create a higher pressure .
