Good Lord, I Went Stupid Today

i hope i made the right choice....

last sat  i posted that i saw a 45 carbine for $219 in a local store and the feedback i got was that i was crazy for not getting it. well, today i took broke butt back to that store again and was looking around and saw that the 45/70 that was $259 the other day was marked down to $219 today. i went with the intention of getting the 45 but then saw the 45/70 for the same price. what to do???? well i came home with the 45 only because the msrp for them is $460 while the 45/70 is only $307 so i figured it was a better deal at the time. wanted to bring em both home but since i couldn't afford one, i better not get two.  this store even had a brand new 204 marked down to $190.

and for anyone that wants to know what store,  it is the sportsman warehouse in columbia, sc

you dun real gud !!!
you can always get (sometimes) a 45/70 barrel for that carbine in the classifieds....
the colt is kinda hard to come by these days !!!!

Easy to load for, tons 'o fun.....good choice (but, I warn ya, now it has only just be-gun).

And the disease spreads, slowly at first, until you just gotta have.......

I had a TC once. One barrel grew to five. Divorce hit before it got any worse and it all went, curing me until the next time. Been 17years, so think I'm almost over it! LOL

Not as I see it!!  You done VERY GOOD!!!

I like mine allot, it shoots very well. I was fiddling with some Hornady "pointy" bullets and found they shot very well. Only mine are hunters. Now I have shot and loaded the 45COLT for many, many years. But wasn't really comfortable with the possibility of there very hot 45's ending up in one of my expensive Hartford or Colt model "P's". SO... I rechambered mine to 454 Casull and its even more of a winner!! It dosen't shoot the same loads as well, but I have found a couple that it does. the 454's I have loaded shoot excellently!! Easily into a one hole 1" group at 50 yards.

When the local sportsman warehouse closed here there were some nice deals like that and even cheaper.
I liked that store, the parking lot was always full, and lots of people inside shopping (and buying).
Why they decided to close it I will never know. ???

frog,  they had a buffalo classic but i didn't ask the caliber but the price was $319 if i recall.
