Left wing RINO "republican" bows out of MN gov. race
« on: January 18, 2010, 02:20:38 AM »
Maybe now Norm Coleman gets it, after betraying the people who got him elected to the senate. He had the nerve to explore a governor race in Minnesota and got boo'ed everywhere he went. Fortunately he quit the race and now a decent candidate may emerge.

Probably not. Another Republican will just take his place, and it will be business as usual.

Believe it or not, it really does matter who is governor in this state. They do make a difference. Pawlenty, the current governor is not bad at all. Not great, but a good fit  for the state. Coleman is a total tainted turdbag whose days in office in this state should be over. It's a matter of character and betrayal.

Even that ex-WWF style wrestler Jesse Ventura as pretty good by contrast with his predecessors, Arnie "Turdbag" Carlson and Rudy "Turdbag" Perpich.

You should know better than I, but you will never make me believe that Norm Coleman was as big a bag of excrement as Al Freaking Franken.  So I'm wondering what kind of standards your voters have, or is it the way your elections are run?

Well Questor I agree with you, but George W. was a pretty good governor to, but was a socialist president. The governorship was nuthin more than a steppin stone to power, and nothing more. They are a REPUBLICAN FIRST!
I remember VERY WELL, on my then frequent visits to Minnesota, the Democratic candidate AND THE Republican candidate making fun of Ventura during that race. Not debating. MAKING FUN OF HIM. Then he beat them both.
Ya'll also have a Muslim Congressman up there I believe. I wouldn't expect too much if I were you. Kay Bailey Hutchins is trying to be Governor down here in Texas, AFTER VOTING "FOR" the first stimulus package. Won't surprise me if she wins, but I hope she doesn't. She too is a socialist.

Magooch:

Fraud is widespread. Same day registration is the law. About three fifths of the state lives in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area, and it is very left leaning. Much of it is unionized. The rest of the state is on the dole as farmers and miners and they are used to getting everything they do subsidized. It is essentially a North Eastern state positioned in the midwest. I will not be able to afford to live here after I retire. The only reason I've been here this long is because of elderly relatives and to give stability to my kids.

Dee:

Bush may have been worse than socialist. He did more than any other individual to kill the republican party. Now we have a one party system. For example, everybody is so up in arms about Obama-nomics. Well, there is no alternative from the republicans and there is nothing emerging from the republicans. Yet people on the right are equally excited that the republicans will have a landslide next fall. Who the heck cares? They can win every seat in the entire congress and it won't make a bit of difference.

I heard an interesting statistic recently: The cost of presidential campaigns has been doubling every four years for the past several elections. I'm not sure how many yet, but it's at least five. That means that everybody who runs for president needs to sell their soul to a lot of people.

Well BBF, I see you finally took me off ignore.
As far as write in candidates, I haven't needed to. The last election there were two other choices including for president. The Libertarian, and the Constitutional Parties both had candidates for the offices open.

Chuck Baldwin was on the ballot here in Oregon, and he got two votes from my house.
I don't remember if the Libertarian was on the ballot. He would have been my next choice.
I never considered voting for the other (PUKE) choices. Your ex Governor "The great decider" taught me well!

I think a few of us do eventually get the picture, but the VAST majority never will .The lesser of vote is a hard habit to break.

Only when you responded to my posts specifically. You had me on ignore, but obviously you were taking me off ignore so you could read my posts, and then you would respond to me. It really didn't make any sense. Two of the three that have me on ignore now truly did me a favor. I hope those two never see fit to take me off ignore. Their morons. ;) ;D
