New BP Revolvers. Learning the ropes.
« on: January 15, 2010, 03:54:47 AM »
I just got into cap & ball revolvers.

My first is a brass frame made in Italy model 1860 Army 44 Cal with no top strap. Just picked up a FLL Pietta New Model 1858 Remington Army Revolver 44 Cal.

I have a bunch of supplies I bought for the guns, Hornady 44 Cal .454 round balls, #11 CCI and RWS caps, as well as some Remington #10 caps, also bought wads, and Ox-Yoke wonder seals and some Goex FFFg powder and Prrodex FFFg.

Now just need to get out and shoot them.

I'm finally planning to take my 36 & 44 to the range tomorrow!  Got all the stuff ready to go!  Can't wait!   ;D

It dawned on me while PM'ing back and forth with Doug (drdougrx) that I haven't seen you post for a while.   :-\

Happy shootin Redhawk1:   I've never had the opportunity to use the RWS caps.   Be interesting to know your preference of the 3 brands.
