They protect their areas, and hate coyotes with a vengence.

I remember seeing that video on Discovery or the like...Was suprised the Coyote did not get away as I figured it would be a bit faster or at least quicker on the turns which would let it out manuver the wolves.
Was not the case this time as perhaps the heavier wolf was having an easier time busting through the snow.

I would rather see coyotes than wolves...  Just my opinion...

Now remember PBS is pro wolf recovery without regard to what the wolves do......

Next year I will get a wolf license just to have handy..... and put them where they belong, and that is in the crosshairs.

Wolves are deceptively fast, it is no wander they caught the coyote. I was in Northern Michigan one winter and had the pure pleasure of watching two Borzi's on the move through the woods and in heavy snow. AMAZING, they were hauling freight through the trees and when they hit the open field it looked like after burners kicked in, but at no time did it look like they were even breaking a sweat. I would love to have seen them after something.

About one wolf per state is perfect.  They can cross state lines to breed in February/March.  Litters cannot be over 2 pups.(both male)

I can imagine a wolf can really run. A few years ago I had one come to the bear bait I was sitting on. I was amazed at how long legged they are.

I saw tracks last year running up the river by my place. The bigger track was 11' from front paw to the next front paw. I am sure they were just on an even run.

IHOOKUM:  Those evening runs are hunting trips.

First they will take wildlife, then stock.  As they get higher numbers, they will start taking dogs and cats in residential areas.  As the dogs and cats are thinned, they will start patroling the bus stops, looking for school kids.  It's coming folks, get ready.  If you can legally shoot them shoot everyone you can get your sights on.  If not follow the three Ss.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
