I have a mod. 30 [my first lever gun]that I greatly enjoy shooting, but it may have a problem. If I tilt the gun a bit to the left,so as to watch the action eject and feed, the new round rolls out of position and jams against the back of the barrel as the lever is moved forward. Backing the lever up to release the pressure starts a new round up from the mag tube, and things deteriorate from there. If the gun is kept straight,[as in normal firing position] all is well. I've been told the carrier or carrier spring is bad, and I've been told to just quit tilting the gun[my current fix]. Thing is, I love the rifle, and if it needs some minor work, I suppose I'd get it done. Is this normal?
