Stoeger Cougar 9mm ???
« on: March 11, 2010, 08:36:15 AM »
I am in the market for a 9mm pistol.  I have shot, and like, the Beretta 92FS and the Taurus PT92.  However, it is a large framed pistol and kind of big for CC.  I do not have a CCW, but plan to obtain it soon.  I like the 9mm and the Beretta platform and stumbled on the Stoeger Cougar.  I have not held/shot one...I have only read reviews and watched some videos.  Anybody have any input they'd like to share?

While not a very small pistol, I suppose concealment with the right holster could be done.  These are typical of the breed-good pistols, not quite to Berettas standards but close enough for Government work.  I wouldn't be afraid to own one if the opportunity presented itself, a good buddy has one, he really likes his. I would have to see what else was available in the same price range before picking it over some other pistol-you know, get the best for dollars spent.  Last one I saw was around 300, new at a gunshow, I'd probably pay that much, not any more for one.

I pulled the trigger and bought a Taurus PT92 in stainless.  I really love the way it shoots and feels.  Thanks for the feedback.
