socialism and communist dicatators are not one and the same.

That may be the biggest mistake I have seen any one post!!!!

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."

I would never suggest doing away with SS, cause I paid into it a ton myself as well.  Less they pay me off in lump sum.

Don't know many people who suggested we do away with SS either...some do I suppose.
Met a few that thought we should not have borrowed/stole the real money out of it and put in an IOU...me included.  I actually think SS is a far cry
from a lot of other socialist programs out there that we would not benifit me at all...even though I pay into them.  Like my tax dollars going to other countries to give them abortions...would be getting carried away I would think.  Or going to a business or union I don't work at to secure votes...or setting up something called midnight basketball,  or like maybe ACORN.

There is a such thing as getting carried away in socialism. Should be able to talk down those programs without someone making us out to be some kind of grinches who would not support anything and let people starve and kick crutches out from under old people.  That is the game socialists play though.
It must be there was a lot of socialist programs not really needed in this State...some are gone now, capitalists left or shut down or was driven out, mostly by high taxes and regulations at both levels of government.  No more money to tax here.

What did our leaders think would happen when money only comes from one place and you burden that out of existance?  What math are they using?
funny math?

Social security is a rip-off for me if I don't get my money when I retire. I've been paying in for over 35 years. I want some money for that.
