Can someone tell me when my colt python was made?

I have a colt python that is blue with a 4 in barrel.  It was given to me by my father who bought in 1972 when he was a deputy sheriff and I don't know if it was used or not.  Its serial # is  437##.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

According to my Colt Python S/N chart it was built in 1965.
9100 were made that year. From S/N 41400-50499.
