Leupold VX-1 Shotgun/Muzzleloader scope
«

I am puting together an Encore in .338 Federal and was thinking about this scope in 2-7x33mm.
It has a decent eye relief(3.7in) and comes in silver(two things I want in a scope for this gun)
Any info/input is appreciated.
Thanks

just keep in mind the paralex on these scopes is set for a shorter distance then the regular line. For what your going to do with a 338 fed i dont think it would matter much though.

Thanks Lloyd for that info
I will be using it as my bear gun which in PA means shots less than 100yrds(usually much less). I will use for deer sometimes also BUT the distances are the same.

Lloyd
Do you have any issues with that heavy reticle?? Some guys say it is difficult to paper with those crosshairs.
Just wondering???

I tried a Leupold shotgun scope on my 10/22. The heavy reticle got in the way. I finally put the scope on my muzzleloader.
