Back in December I talked to Ben Main, the owner of Mainland Hunting here in Alabama. I wanted to book a hog hunting trip for myself and two of my friends. He said that because I wanted to wait until Feburary and hogs were a problem on his property we could come and hunt for free. I thanked him but assured him that I would still pay him something for his trouble. I started trying to contact him in late Janurary and left several messages. I got no response. I called again yesterday evening and talked to his wife. Told her who I was and what the call was about. She gave another number to reach him at his day job but he wasn't there. I called back and she said to call back in 30 minutes. I did and didn't get an answer. Gave it another 1 1/2 hours and got the voicemail again. Told him who I was, what the call was about and assured him that I wouldn't bother him again. If the man has changed his mind and doesn't want me and my friends on his property then at least pick up the phone and say so. Poor excuse for a way to run a business. Sorry for the rant but just wanted any other locals or out of town people to know what they will be dealing with if they contact him.
