Just got my new daypack/bob ...
« on: February 02, 2010, 12:47:19 PM »

Level 3 Molle Hydration Pack ... appears to me to be very similar to a pack sold by Maxpedition, same dimensions & features, but a lot cheaper. Bought it from combatgearing directly for $18 plus shipping; see them on Amazon for $40, and ebay for $30.

I got the OD green, comes also in ACU, black and coyote brown. 10x18x10 (when full). Takes a 3L standard hydration bladder (camelbak, etc). I was really happy to discover that the shoulder straps adjust in similar fashion to the old ALICE pack - I'm tall, and most daypacks cut bloodflow off to my arms. Solidly built, and compresses down nicely so stuff doesn't shift around when moving. Standard MOLLE attachment system. Hip belt and chest straps are removeable by design - I don't always like to have mine on. Couple internal pockets, but doesn't look like a kid's school pack when open.

I was looking for a bag that wasn't so big I wouldn't want to carry it full, but big enough I could throw what I needed in there fine.

TeamNelson, that looks like a very good pack.

Looks perfect for my bicycle ride to work. However, when I went to checkout they wanted $18 for shipping + $3 for tracking. :(

Might still be a good deal, but I don't generally like to pay more for shipping than the item itself...
