The best money a handloader can ever spend is for the purchase of a chronograph. They are inexpensive and pretty darned good. Use of one can tell you what your shot to shot variations are, and let you know if you have velocity spikes. If you have a "sweet" load that someone told you shoots great in their rifle and it crosses your screens 150-200 FPS faster than published velocities, then you are starting to tread on thin ice. Your increase in group size with the higher amounts of powder is suggesting to you where your sweet spot is for that particular rifle.
