As most of you know I went back to teaching Martial Arts about a year ago. To say it has been a struggle to raise a family, school my kids, and teach karate is an understatement. I have been blessed with a family who supports my need to train, compete, and teach, and all of our hard work has now paid off. My instructor offered me the head instructor position in Piedmont. The second week of this month I will open Piedmont Taekwondo out of the Civic Center in Piedmont.
I already have a few students who are interested and four from Jacksonville who already live in Piedmont who will be transferring. I am honored to be chosen for this job considering we have many trainee instructors who would have done it for free to get their teaching credits. Mr. Turgeon told me he would rather pay me as a certified and the kids get quality training. :-) I love helping out at the big school, but now I will get the opportunity to train kids by myself and their achievements and failures be a direct reflection of me. I am ready for the challenge.
