Ok i have a Pro Hunter with a custom Build 375 H&H barrel ,7mm Mag, 204 and a Custom 220 Swift barrel, My

is which barrel do you guys think i should get next, i know i have pretty much every thing covered but i just like getting new toys..LOL any ideas guys would be helpful standerd cailbers are wildcats just give me some ides.

What about a Brush Gun?
308 Win with open sights? Hard to beat the 308 loaded with 180 grain Round nose for the woods on deer or pigs.
45-70 Katadin carbine? Everyone NEEDS a 45-70. the short little bloop tube looks handy for the thick stuff.

Dude, I can get you info on 2 or 3 guys that already have one in a 300WSM, if you want to go that route, I will direct you towards a custom Mfg. that will do it. I almost bought one used on anther forum, but purchased a widcat that equals it, so I didn't need both.

Why Push What the Manufacture says No to

? If you want a WSM get it in a Heavy Bolt Gun.. I like My Face, Eyes and such. I know you can reload to lower pressures but why? Just never made good sence to me.

Everybody(no, I know everybody doesn't) wants a WSM or other short magnum chambered in their Encore.......Why??? I fully understand the advantage of a short magnum round in a repeating rifle...but in a single shot I see no advantage at all. Now add to that the fact that a lot of very smart people who know what they're doin' say "NO", don't do it. I'm not much of a "magnum" guy anyway, so I guess I just don't understand. $:-\$

BTW As to the OP's original question....as others have already said....MY favorite magnum...the 45-70 is the gaping hole that needs filling.

If a short mag is what you desire get the orignal short mag in the Encore............The .350 Rem Mag.
Also the .338 Federal is a short mag. These two are safe chambers.
I wanted a Weatherby caliber in my Encore but T/C will not chamber Weatherby calibers---Yeah I could find a custom guy to make one BUT why take the chance of having a disasterous situation???
