Ream out a 22 LR -or Hornet

Is it do-able to ream out a 22 Lr or would need to use a Hornet bbl to a 218 Bee?

A 22 LR has a bore diameter of .223.  I think the centerfires and the 22 mag are .224. Your accuracy may suffer with the LR.

Proper twist rates and bore diameter are concerns when using a .22LR barrel to turn into any of the .224" centerfires. A .22 Magnum barrel might be a better choice. There are so many used barrels out there already in most any of the .22 centerfires tho why not just sell what you have and don't want and buy what you do.

If you ream out rechamber an old .22 rimfire barrel for a center for a center fire barrel use the old .223 Hornet bullets. That siad, I would go with a new barrel unless you have the ablity to do it your self as smith work would cost the same for eather and the old barrel may not shoot well after alot of expence.
