Rossi 44 magnum singleshot is 1:20 twist
« on: January 21, 2010, 05:08:36 AM »
I called Rossi and found out the 44 magnum singleshot rifle is 1:20 twist.
I just picked up one of these off gunbroker that was a 44mag/20ga combo and gave $250 for it total to my dealer.
It seems to shoot well at 100 yards but some my loads need tweaking a bit. Plus I am going to try the rubber washer in the forend trick that will free float the barrel and see what happens.
God created man, Col. Colt made him equal.

Can you take the forend off and shoot like you can with NEF?
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.

I tried the O ring thing on my Rossi .44 but there was no result. The best thing I have found is to just tighten the front screw really hand tight even if the sling is pointed wrong(sideways).

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70..it's almost a religion.
