Police state comes quicly to mind, as does lack in common sense.
In days, long gone, the student would have been required to clean every desk in the room, and that would be the lesson taught.
I would think that police time could be better used--no wonder we have poor response times to true police incidents and no officers where they really need to be.
NOW, my daughter works as a counselor in a school where they have 3 police officers stationed every day, all day--but, this school is a stop off for those who will need incarceration later.
Most large school districts in Houston have an independant police force to help with security---this hardly seems like a security issue. See what happens when teachers can't disipline anymore.
