N frame would be best fit.

Well, lets see, I've got a model 85, a tracker in 44 mag, and a PT1911.  All of mine have had no problems.

If what you mean is "with all the negative comments I might have thrown my money away", that would be true, but there are those who have had no problems at all.

The Uncle Mikes size 2 will fit and is a good low cost option. Check with Simply Rugged on line if you want a nice high riding pancake holster. The Model 44 has been a good packing gun for me. I shoot mostly the standard 240 or 250 grain loads in mine. The 300 and 320 grain cast loads go in my Super Blackhawk. Mine has a good trigger and has enough weight to tame recoil but is still light enough for packing on the trail. About the only thing I need to do with mine is keep it clean and check the screws for tightness before heading out in the field. I have not heard of any problems with the Model 44. I think they are a pretty good design. I have more expensive guns but do carry it in the woods quite a bit. The Winchester 240 grain JSP White Box is a good load in the Taurus. If I want more penetration I go with a 250 Keith or Sierra FPJ at about 1200.

I've had my M44 for years - zero problems - very accurate - hundreds and hundreds of rounds, jacketed and lead. Enjoy!

I can't help you with the holster, but I would have to ask why you would buy a gun after reading all those negative comments? I have a Taurus Ported SS Mod 415 snub nose  in .41mag that slept under my my pillow in a tent cabin in the Tetons loaded with Fed 250gr Cast Cores. Now that I have found the .41spec ammo online, it may sleep in my pickup. It is a great little gun for a 1/3 the price of a Smith. I have had guns that I didn't like, but I didn't look for a holster for them.

I wouldn't sweat the bad reports,I was asking about a model 991 22 mag that I bought and had to clean it real good to get the grit out. Now it shoots great.

I just purchased a used "BARELY USED" model 44ss4 this morning at the Charleston Gun and Knife show, got it home about 2 hours ago and it shoots GREAT already shot 75 rnds through it and killed a huge BAD#%* squirle at 28 yrds, so far I am very pleased with it. I too have to get a holster.

I PERSONALLY WILL NOT HESITATE to buy another Taurus revolver, infact I will be looking for a model 94ss5 this week.

I am starting to think that its like this,
1. I drive a F-250 and all I own is fords, and had nothing but good ones and have friends that have had all bad ones.
2. I have had Chevey's and never any good ones, I have friends that swear by them
3. You cant always go on someones elses experience or opinion

Good Luck
