Sagegrouse, you should watch the whole video you might learn something.
 
I don't see it as doom and gloom. I see it as full of truth. Truth is something many in this country have a hard time grasping anymore.
Our Founders knew that Biblical values formed the basis of the republic, and that the republic would be destroyed if the people's knowledge of those values should ever be lost. Think that might be happening?
The Bible is the foundation of our Constitutional republic, and to many people just don't plain want to hear that or believe it. 

Howse mentions David Barton a few times, and his books. Barton is one of the best speakers and writers about our history, and the forming of our great Constitutional republic, if not the best.
