red dot or lazer

question...got a new breech and bolt for 1377 on the way......going to shoot rats at night.....if i have a light shining on a rat can i see the red  dot.........never had a red dot and im thinking with the distance between my eye and scope i wont be abe to see the dot on target so i may need the lazer.......any thoughts???..thanks mack

a flachlight that illumanates the target and a lazor that sighted in innthe middle on the beem of the flashlight. Then you point the light the light at the target and the red dot of the lazor in in the center of the beam put the dot on the target and shoot. Best way to do it at night. durine the day the lazor can work on its own without the light maybe backed up bu a lowpower scope (4x
at least a 1" scope as well)
these setups appear to work for my friends when ratting so should work well for you as well.

Mack,

I use standard 1" handgun scopes on my 1377's and I'm very interested in your findings.  Please make sure you come back and tell us how the red dot works for you.  Lawdog
