45-70 BC with tang sight
« on: February 11, 2010, 09:31:46 AM »
Took my BC to the range today and tried out my newly installed Pedersoli creedmore tang sight.  I also received a set of Lee Shaver inserts so I had one of them in the Lyman front.  Man, what a difference.  After dialing it in, I was putting them regularly in 1.5" group at 50yds.  Before, I was lucky to get them all in a circle the size of a volley ball.  The cold set in so I didn't try it at 100yds. but I'm sure it'll be quite an improvement.

Not a very good pic.  I just threw it on the sofa and snapped.

Excellent!  Have you calibrated them for distance yet?  Are you using factory globe?

I've been eyeballing those myself, and these are questions I keep wonderin? :D

Only calibrated it to 50yd.  The only time I've had it out since I had the tang sight put on, I froze out and decided to quit.  Front globe is factory Lyman w/Lee Shaver inserts.
