I shoot a .17 Remington and it does work. There are lots of stories about wind and lots of other things, but the truth is that the .17 remington is just plain made to kill Coyotes. There is no perfect round for any animal, but the .17 Remington is about the closest you will find for taking Coyotes most any place in the country. They do have some problems with fouling up with copper after a dozen or two shots, but how many shots do you take at a Coyote in a day? These are very specialized rifles, they are really good for one thing, killing a Coyote and saving the fir. The .204 Ruger is close, but the .17 Remington is still the King. There is nothing better at the job than a .17 Remington with a 25 gr Berger match HP out of about a 24 inch barrel. Larry
