Depends on what style.  I use Mitch Rosen's "Sport" model for mine.   For a start why not look at the ones Ruger offers.  Makes sense to start there since they sell the gun.  ;D

Tried an Uncle Mikes just once - never again.  Worst POS I ever tried for a holster.

Not sure of your intended purpose but I like the Bianchi Model 111 which is a cross-draw style.

Holds my Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk just fine

Heres what mine rides in now. Its got an old model in it in the pic, but it now is the permanent home of my 50th anniversary Blackhawk.
I have done a few changes since then, getting rid of the chicago screws, and putting brass spots over the holes. Looks a little more vintage now.

This one is kind of "high end" but I have really enjoyed it (it is really a two gun rig but can easily be run with one - Red Dog Leather:

That's my Ruger 5½" .44 Lipsey Special in the holster.

That looks like an awkward cross draw!

I can see where that chest holster would be great in the woods.  Keeps the gun up out of the way no matter what you are doing, but still available.  I can't sit on the ground with a regular belt holster as the holster will dig into it.  Neat!  44 Man

It depends on the gun and what you use it for.  I have several of the Uncle Mike's holsters from Michaels of Oregon.  They are used when I am carrying on my quad.  The nylon repels water and the snap stays shut.  I don't worry about weather or losing my gun while driving. (Coat or jacket is usually over butt until needed.)

I have a lot of the Hunter brand holsters.  They are leather and look a lot like some of the "western" holsters.  You can use the leather band with snap to hold the gun in or you can add a thong to pull over your hammer.  They slip onto a leather belt easily and can also be softened and oiled so they do not wear on your gun's finish like the nylon holsters do.

I have several different brands of shoulder and/or chest holsters.  Leather and nylon.  I use these when carrying a long barrelled revolver, scoped revolver, or revolver with custom sights that could snag on some of the other holsters.

I have a couple of the tooled western belts with holsters and shell loops also.

I like the traditional "sixgun" look, but sometimes functionality has to play a part too.
