Hodgon's Longshot looks like it would be a good powder for my colt gov. model in .45 acp. I have yet to find anyone who has tried it. Anythoughts would be appreciated.

It works the slide too fast to work well in my Mil-Spec.  It did work OK in a friend's Ruger P-97, though.  Accuracy was acceptable, but nothing impressive.
