Well....I have a few lever rifles that I bring just in case. I am in the process of gathering other guns for backups or other characters I might go as on any given day.

I have acquired a 2nd shotgun, and going to buy a second lever gun in a few weeks.  I asked the folks on the SASS wire if I should buy a third Ruger NMV.  The consensus was Rugers rarely break so the money is better spent on a better lever gun.

As to the precise question, most of the time some pard has a back up gun you can borrow for the rest of the match.

Always carry an extra shotgun & rifle, Usually carry extra C&Bs for big matches only.

I have two complete sets of irons that go to matches with me. I might have to change catagories if my scattergun goes south on me because my spare is a pump, but I can keep shooting! ;D Another plus has been that having a spare set has allowed some newcomers to try the game out with my irons. Hooked a few that way! ;)
