Midway has these bullets on sale for reloading. Does anyone have experience with them as I was wondering how they would perform in my 454 Casull Puma 92.

 No, but I've been thinking of trying some in the muzzle-loader. I do have a many year supply of m-l bullets though so I've been holding off.

 You could start by looking over their website & see what kind of data they have for your potential loading.

buddy tried them in his 450 and said they were tack drivers. dont know that they would be much of a hunting bullet at those speeds though. I would think that they wouldnt hold together.

I got two boxes not knowing there was not a crimp groove.  I was planning to try them in my 45lc & 454 puma also.  If you have not laoded these types of bullets they take some extra care in getting the proper length to feed.  The 45-70 and 444 require a significant amount of case trimming.

I got a couple boxes when they first came out. I turned some canalures in them and they shoot very well in the 454 and Colt cartridges. But I haven't done any expansion tests...

CW,  if you don't mind me asking.  How did you turn a canalure?   I have not tried to see at what length they will feed.  I was going to see it I could just seat them deep enough to cycle and use a lee factory crimp tool.

 I have a C&H tool that mounts on the bench and allows infineate adjustments to turn a canalure on any bullet.

Thanks for the video,  never knew there was a tool you could get to do this job.  I found one at Buffalo Arms.  It was cheaper than I thought it would be.  I reload a lot, 17 die sets an 25 guns but so far it has been real simple work.  Just buy the components and find what combination work best.  That's why these FTX bullets seemed to be more trouble than their worth but help from guys like you it's like finding an other level to enjoy this sport.

I picked up a couple of boxes to try in the 454 as well.  If to long, may try 45 Colt brass in the 454 Puma's, or the Handi's.  CW, when you reamed your Handi to 454, did that give you much of a throat, or just the chamber?  I was just gonna use a Lee Factory Crimp die for locking them in.  Let us know if you get any expansion testing done CW.  DP
