700 bolt shroud removal

I bought a new in the box 700 varmint synthetic the other day.  The only problem was this gun was made when remington was not thinking clearley and placed a lock on it.  I am thinking about buying the a new bolt shroud and wanted to know how hard it is to change out.

It's very simple. Look in the owners manual. there is an illustration.
