375 Win?

Who has a .375 Win and how do you like it?   Any hunting with it?  handloads or factory load?  thanks

Love mine. Bought it used for 165.00 from here I recall- 14" SS and its very, very accurate with the factory loads. Recoil sort of surprized me  :shock: the first five times or so I shot it. Last range time I ran 19 shots in an hour, cleaning every five shots- this time it wasn't so bad. Again, very accurate. Missed the two deer I shot at this season, not the guns fault. Darn 2" saplings I couldnt see (until I walked to the spot) in the scope set on 2x, really pounded the saplings, and I was tempted to leave a tag on the one it was so mangled. As I walked up, it slowly fell over.
 Its Barnes favorite handgun caliber for what its worth. I bought mine after all the favorable reports on this site.  Its a keeper in for sure.

Love mine! it's a 14" blued one, with iron sights. I've only used it with cast bullets, both with smokeless and black powder, and it's a keeper. I haven't hunted with it, but use it in unlimited class in IHMSA. So far it's gotten its share of 40s and won a couple of shootoffs. Still trying for a black powder 40 though, that'll be a laugh.

I have a Super 14 and killed a nice black bear with it. The bear only went about 10 feet after getting hit with a 200 grain Winchester factory load. My only complaint is that the round is a bit hard to find. You really need to handload for it. I obtained it as a birthday present. So, you could say the price was right.

I haven't shot it for some time so I can't really comment too much on it. But I will never get rid of it. It has a sentimental value attached.

:agree: The 375 Win was the first barrel I bought 8 yrs. ago & the only one I will never get rid of. Mine is blued 14" with a break has a swift 4x scope on top.The break makes it a real pussy cat you can one hand it no problem. I have dropped deer with it out to a 100 yds.(my limit)& none have gone more than a few steps. Its a great gun. Factory ammo is getting hard to find .Not sure if the ammo depot has it or not .As for reloading its very easy.Just take your time to work up a good load. Mine decided it liked 28gr. of 4198 under a 220gr sp.I can hold a 21/2 to 3" group all day long with it. I love to use mine on groundhogs it blows them up.  Try one I bet you will like it also  :D  :wink:

Mine is a factory 14" hunter barrel that I bought new after foolishly selling my 14" 7TCU barrel. It's taken a doe and a hog that went close to 250 lbs. Neither went more than about 20' after being shot. Factory ammo can be a little hard to find and expensive at your local gun shop but it's easy to reload for.

I got one about 6 months ago just because I always wanted one and Ed had a new one in the box for $165.  It seems to shoot accurate although I have decide to leave open sights on it and I do not shoot them real well.  Dis hunt with a couple of  times this year but did not have the chance to shoot anything.  Sometimes I can shoot it 20 times and the recoil never bothers me.  Other times I can shoot it 5 times and think the recoil is stiff.  I think it all depends on what else I have been shooting that day.  It is a cool round and I will always keep it since I like it and they do not make them anymore.

Graf & Sons always has factory ammo and brass in stock for it.

I have had mine for about 3 years and would'nt take for it. Its one of the most accurate tubes i have. 8)

I also purchased a used one this ear.  It shoots one ragged hole at 100yds all day long. One of my favorite bbls and one I will never sell.

I've had mine since 1995. It's a stainless Hunter barrel and is very accurate. Haven't used it for hunting, but it a blast to shoot in IHMSA competition. It's shot several 40's and won the state championship with an 80. The scope is a Burris 1.5-4X, still doing well with about 2000 rounds through it.

No factory ammo has been tested yet, but the favorite handloads use Sierra 200FN and Hornady 220 FN bullets with Rel-7 (37 and 35 grains).

With the muzzle brake, it has become my wife's favorite plinking pistol! Wouldn't trade it for anything.
