Freedom Arms/Shiloh Sharps what are they worth
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:50:31 AM »
I have had these for a little while now and am thinking of selling them.  I have 2 people interested in them but Have no idea what they would bring.  Any help.  Only 25 of the set where ever made. Both guns are unfired and in near perfect condition.  With belt buckles and clean kit and case

I would post a detailed add, along with a bunch of high quality photographs on an auction site (like Gunbroker.com).  Set a high, hidden reserve.  See what kind of bids you get.  That should give you an idea of real world value.  You can always lower the reserve if you decide to sell.  Very nice set, by the way...  I would guess over $3,000

Shilo Sharps has the single highest quality and resale value of any of that classes firearms.

Folks have to wait years to have one made.

You need to contact them, check Gun America and Cabella's, and gun price books for the current prices.

If I had those, Id never sell them. To Me that is the ultimate shooter

I don't know what they would bring in today's market but three years ago I offered $5000 for a set and didn't get it.  What is the serial number of yours?  I could probably dig up the number for the one I bid on.

id say over somewhere in he vacinity of 5000. the shiloh is worth at least 2 grand and so is the FA so in a collectors set id say another grand on top would probably be a close value. With something like that though its a market thing. If you find the right buyer it may be worth 6 or 7 grand but if no one is looking 4 grand may be all it brings. Like was suggested id first put in on a aution sight with a hidden reserve of what you think is fair and say a prayer as it may go substantialy higher. by the way thats a very cool set and if i wasnt so broke id be running to the bank looking for money!
