Anybody have one? Ought to be pretty much the same as a 350 rem mag necked up to 416. Probably kinda pointless now that you can do a 416X300WSM, but either of them look like they'd be good hunting rounds. 350gr. at 2200 or so out of a really short barreled rifle.

Sounds something like a "41-08" - I built a dummy round the other night out of a piece of mil-surp brass. In the pic I'll try to insert, it is the cartridge in the middle, flanked by a 32WSpl and a 40-82WCF. Bullet is a 265gr cast for the 40-82Wcf and OAL is 2.50" - just some play time. I envisioned a Marlin 336 in 35rem and bored out to .400/.410 The bolt face would already be correct and feeding should be fool-proof.

It is well below the .411 Hawk in preformance, about 300 fps with a 300 gr. bullet. It also uses a belted case, which I am not a fan of. With all of that said a 300 gr. bullet at 2,200 fps. should be real good medicine elk or moose.
