Let me tell you what I did when my boss came to me along with 700 other folks and said "this is the hardest thing I ever had to do" as he walked me out to H.R. for my exit interview. Almost 25 years at that plant and I was one of many they used to downsize. At 63 years old finding a job is practicaly impossible so I pulled my 401K went on unemployment and applied for social security. I guess I was one of the lucky ones because I am old enough to retire. A few months ago they called me to come back at my old position but I can't really say here what I told them. Yea, I'm a little bitter because I lost a job that paid extremly well and held a position in plant management but overall I am certainly luckier than most of the folks that are still only on unemployment with most about to run out. I wish them all well.
