Age of a Colt Python
« on: February 19, 2010, 02:39:46 PM »
I bought a bunch of guns the other day from a guy who's father in law had passed away. One of them is a 4" Colt Python, serial number 533**, the factory target is dated 1966. Can anyone tell me what year it was made? Shotgunner

In my Colt S/N book. It was built in 1966.
S/N for 1966 went from 50500-60999.

Thanks for that info. I bought the gun to re-sell but have been shooting it, and like all Pythons it is easy to shoot. Too bad the gun was not equal to the box. Shotgunner
