had to shoot with feet!

Had to have surgery on elbow from shooting bow for 45 yrs. Doc told me to stop shootin bow! I said thats not gonna happen... Anyway had to shoot bow with one hand and two feet. I made stirrups for bow that I could pull & cinch up on feet when I sat on butt. Guys on league said I was an inspiration-and another guy said It was the best I ever shot. hahaha. I think I had better form, & I could shoot heavy bow weights cuz I was pushing with both feet. worked great till my elbow got better. I also picked up some very very bad habits trying to shoot injured, shuda listened to doc.grin!

spit on broadhead jus b4 entering chest cavity. just like you lick arm to shave hair.lol

Good for you!  I used to shoot on a league with a fellow who lost his arm in a farming accident.  He pulled the bow back with a mouth tab and shot very well.  Hope you heal completely and start shooting 300's!

Thanks for reply oldarcher,  I shot some 300's b4 my surgery, but now my teeshirt has strangle hold on my minds eye. lol.  lost desire to compete.  not important any more.  now I enjoy shooting even more than ever.  used to be anal about it, nothin else mattered.  Now its a form of bliss.
think we all get there some time in life.
