Markopolos is indeed a hero.  The villians include the SEC investigator who married Madoff's niece, Secretary of The Treasury Henry Paulson, Head of the SEC Christopher Cox and many others.  Cox is the guy who blew off Markopolos's warnings about Madoff.

The audio is fantastic. I mean he was ready for a FBI tactical team to bust through his front door and he had a shotgun and gas mask to meet them, because of his fear from the SEC powerheads. That is crazy. Everyone should listen to this. This guy took it upon himself to take on the people who control Wall St. and live to talk about it.

No coorporate transparency, lobbiest and a crooked congress (if they don't persue this and for letting it happen in the first place). All this has been stated here before. How hard is this being investigated now and how deep do they intend to go? I don't know, I am just curious.

If short selling had a hand in this, how many of our "market correction" chashes in the past deckade or more might have been influenced by short selling?
