I just got my second cz  and it is just like my first except it is 223  ,I think it is a 1x12 twist  anyone shoot one and what load does it like  --60 grain hpbt with???
or 55 grain sp with
just getting started hope you can save me some miles testing everything

I have a CZ 527 American left hand gun in .223.  It does a very nice job with the 55 grain Remington SP, the 55 grain Sierra hollow point Game King and the 55 grain FMJBT:  Three shot groups are <1" at 100 yards with the right powder load.  I use IMR 3031 in my .223 re-loads exclusively.  Have not tried any of the heavier bullets in my gun.

Work carefully up to 26.6 grains of W748 under 55-grainers, 27.1 for the 50s.  Adjust COAL for best accuracy through your rifle.

I've been trying 60 gr Noslers with only fair results. Lighter bullets seem to shoot much better.

I too just got a 527 in 223.  Mine is a M1 American topped with a Weaver 3-9X38 scope.
I was shooting The Remington / UMC 45 grain JHP out of mine and it worked great.
I then tried some 55 grainers from Hornady, Federal, and remington.
The Hornady was the ballistic tip, the Fed was FMJ with a boat tail and the Remington was soft point.
Out of the four.... Have to go with the Bulk Rem for my rifle at 100 yards.Nice tight group about the size of a quarter off of the bench with out a rest.
The others were a little larger.  I used what I have for my other 223's.  Really like this little rifle.

I got the carbine and toped it with a buris 4.5x14 temberline
It has rained here in Georgia almost every day maybe it will clear up soon

My CZ is the American left hand in .223.  It wears the excellent  Leupold FXIII 6x42 scope.  My 55 grain loads use one of several different bullets.  This load makes <moa 3 shot groups when fired from my rifle:

Case:         LC
Powder:     25 grains of IMR 3031
Primer:       CCI 400
Bullet:        55 grain Sierra Game King HP



The bullet is seated .015 off the lands.

I gotta tell ya, that the wife's new CZ in 223 really puts nice tight groups together with Hornady V-Max 50 grain bullets. To the tune of shooting 1/2-MOA and that is no joke!

My 527 American in .223 likes RL-15 and the Hornady 55 gr. SX.

It bounced around on it's likes and dislikes as it broke in ...... however.

At one time it seemed to prefer 45 gr. factory ..... then it was over to 55's ....

So I would just accept whatever reasonable level of accuracy it provides without bustin' your chops ....... until it breaks in.

But once you've "arrived" .......... KATY ....... BAR THE DOOR!!!

Mine went from typical .900" five shot (.500" four shot) ........ to one hole and a much smaller flyer ....... like .500" counting the flyer ........

I haven't handloaded the 60 gr partitions but Federal loads them in one of their hunting bullets, they shoot pretty well in mine.  Might be something to try.

Update on my 527.
Went Javilina hunting this past weekend in AZ and hit one of the little buggers at 145 yards in the bottom of the canyon.
My buddy had three running and shot 4 times with his 243 and just missed each one he was out of ammo and rather than reloading he grabed my rifle and shot.  The GPS had the shot at .11 Miles (193 yards) on a 30 pounder moving.  The scope was set to 7X.
I like that the little rifle is a little rifle but feels like a full sized gun.
Ammo was 50 gr JHP by Remington.  All I could find quickly as a hunting round.  Did the job well and we found the projectile in the Javilina my buddy shot just under the skin in two peices.  both mushroomed nicely.

527 American....the one with the Argentine mauser-looking drop magazine.

Anybody's 52 grain match hollowpoint over Hodgen benchrest or H-335 powder.  Ninety percent of 3 shot groups at 100 yards under 1", and usually closer to 5/8".  ANY groups over 1" my fault.
