So what if H&R discontinued the .45LC BC
« on: March 03, 2010, 06:14:38 PM »
Uberti has this

http://www.uberti.com/firearms/1871_rolling_block_hunter_carbine.php

I thought that 45/70 was silly, til I realized that Contender guys shoot pistols in that caliber, and this thing even has a recoil pad.

Drooling over the trigger guard yet?

Me To.  But I am a little cheap most of the time and I wouldn't spend 800 buck on that rifle. I would much rather buy three or four more handie and some reloading supplies. :)

Heck, a feller could have a rebore or stub done for less than that and still have a real Handi instead that imported Italian or Spanish thing!  8)

Uberti quality has been really good lately and they do make some beautiful guns, but that's not one of them.
