Ron1 Thanks for the response. That's kinda my problem, I have 2 700 HBs in 22-250 but they are no good for calling. Thought of re-barrelling one but it shoots good and I'd want to re-stock and get a smaller scope
I like the performance of the 250 but for calling I guess the 223 should be enough.
I have a superlite, a 24" HB, and now have 2 standard weights in 223. Superlite is nice for calling
It has killed a yote at 195 yds. that went about 20 yds. My fault! and DRT one at about 110 yds.
Had one sitting/watching me just in the edge of the woods at about 300+ yds once, then I wanted my 22-250. Would have been Lights out
Didn't take the shot.
Was looking at a new 22-250 Handi the other day so I'd have a complete factory reciever/barrel. Haven't went back yet.
Think I just need to get out and kill a couple with the 223
Hope this isn't hijacking the thread as Christmas is a year away now
Sounds like your 22-250 Handi is the STANDARD 22" barrel that's driving tacks, Right? Thanks
