Dumb question of the week

I traded into a 223 contender today. I am wondering what length barrel it has. Over all length is 13 1/4. Would this be considered the 14? Sorry, Im new! ;D

You measure the length from the breech end of the barrel to the muzzle.  The length includes the chamber.  If that length is 13 1/4 inches, then that is the length; it's not rounded up to 14.
