i would like to find some old milatary rifle that would be good for coyote hunting dont want a pretty one just one that will get abused and threw under a truck seat for driving back and forth to work

Right off the bat an sks comes to mind.  These can really take a beating and still have decent accuracy.  You can still get a yugo sks cheap.  And with ammo you have a choice of a hollow point or a soft point.  I been leaning towards the 125gr soft point for smaller game and the 154gr soft point for deer sized game. I believe they offer a 122gr soft point too.  But i'm not really sure what the difference in accuracy is between the soft points and the hollow points if there is any.  Most states don't allow the full metal jacket rounds for hunting.  The 154gr soft point rounds is close to the 30-30 in power. You can pick up a shooter/beater, truck sks cheap.

SKS would be good and they also make a 110gr v-max, and they can be scoped very easy if need be.
